
Samraksha constantly transfers the learnings and insights gained from nearly two decades experience, to other professionals, volunteers and community members, through training. It is part of the National AIDS Control Organization's pool of training and resource institutions.
Samraksha is involved in different kinds of training at multiple levels :- Training of professionals like counselors, lab technicians, staff nurses on basics of HIV counseling, care and management
- Training of lay counselors, on basics of human behavior, psychology and counseling
- Training of community volunteers on basics of HIV prevention, care and support.
- Training in association with the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), for functionaries of different government departments on basics of HIV
Review:
In view of Samraksha's long experience, Samraksha teams and staff are periodically asked to review different programmes and projects. (See list of Review assignments)
Operational Research:
Samraksha is also constantly involved in operational research, in order to constantly understand the external environment and change accordingly. These include situational analysis and needs assessment, baseline assessments, impact assessment, small research studies, to understand certain research questions.
